Welcome to one of my favorite places. It is here that we can get to know each other and where I can let you know who I am. My wife Lois, whom I have affectionatly dubbed Smedly, and I live in a log sided cabin we built in East Central Minnesota. Abounding in pine trees, birch, oak, and even a smattering of poison ivy, we relish the solitude. I wish you could all be here to enjoy this with us, but that's a bit unlikely. Instead, I will try to take you on a tour of the wonders of Minnesota and throw in a lot of intrigue, mystery, and adventure. Have fun, enjoy the journey, and read often.
Following the advise of a gallant lady who chose to become an English teacher, David Paul Holmes has been writing for most of his life, in one form or another. Finally, David was able to sprout wings and fulfill his dream; writing for fun. And now that he has started, he simply cannot stop.
David say's "Learning to read at a young age, and enjoying it, is the foothold to knowledge. Whether on the beach, in a cafe at lunch time, or curled up in a big chair, getting into a good book is a wonderful experience. Reading will bring two things to you; knowledge and entertainment. Let your imagination take you on a journey that is yours alone. Read to yourself and read to others. JUST READ."
Pulling dark mysterious tales out of the spectacular Northern reaches of the Minnesota Arrowhead, from the Canadian border, through Hovland, Grand Marais, Duluth, and beyond, he will pull you into mystery and adventures leading you where you dare not go alone.
COMMENTS ON SECRETS:
David Holmes writes a fascinating book, revealing the secrets of Jessica Morneau's past through an intriguing plot and well developed characters. This is a book you won't want to put down until all is revealed.

COMMENTS ON EMILY'S RUN:
Emily's Run is a fast paced, psychological thriller. A chilling, terror-filled story of evil, violence, and redemption.
-Christopher Valen, author of The Black Minute
The women in this story are strong and determined, the bad guys villainous-and the action is right on. The fear these psychotic killers wrought on Emily and her daughter will haunt you for a long time. Emily's Run would make a good edge-of-your-seat movie.
